Camping is a great way to be with nature and to change your usual way of living. Each and every camper will have his/her top 10 essentials for camping. In this article, I will discuss mine. Most probably, your lists will be different or the same with my lists.
Food and Water

This is common sense right? However, some campers won’t think of the number of days they would be in the campsite. Some of them would bring food not enough for all of them or for the days they are away from home. This can be a huge problem, especially if you are away from the city or there are no stores available. Enough water should also be prepared as some of the campsites don’t have enough supply of water, drinking water to be exact.
Bedding

As for me, I really want to make sure that I can sleep well and comfortably while I am away from home. I always bring sleeping bags and an air mattress so that I can assemble it when I am in the campsite and disassemble it when it’s time to go home. Plus, I also make sure to bring some pillows of course. When I camp with my child, this also helps him feel secure and comfortable at night.
Camping bag

As much as possible, I don’t usually bring lots of stuff. I just estimate the number of days when I will be away and bring enough clothes to keep me comfortable during those days. Sometimes, I also wash my clothes in the campsite. That’s why it is important to bring a durable camping bag that would keep safe all of my belongings. I use the one which is resistant to water so that my gadgets won’t get wet when it rains.
Camper trailer and Camper trailer Tent

I prefer to camp with camper trailer and camper trailer tent. Although some would say that it would be comfortable to camp in a caravan since you will no longer set it up, I find camping in a camper trailer challenging. Besides, I want adventure and I want the thrill of setting up the tent when I reach the campsite.
First Aid Kit

You won’t know what will happen next. Any injuries or accident may happen during camping. That’s why it is important to bring the first aid kit. I also bring some medicines for headache, stomach ache, toothache, cough and cold, allergy, and diarrhea. Most of the time, these medicines are lifesaver for my fellow campers.
Flashlights and camping lantern

This is important especially at night. Although a light from the bonfire may be enough, it is still best to bring flashlights and camping lantern. This would also serve as your guide when you or one of your campers will need to go to the bathroom at night.
Fridge

Some of the food that you will be bringing is perishable. To prevent them from getting spoiled, you can bring a small fridge or cooler. This is also the reason why I love using a camper trailer because I would have the chance to bring a large fridge for my perishable food and refreshing drinks. Isn’t it great drinking a cold beer while sitting on a chair and just enjoying the wonderful scenery in front of you?
Camp Stove

Yes, you can also use pot and pans to cook your food and put it over the fire. But it would be easier f you have a stove. There are lots of camping stove available in the market right now. You can choose the one that fits your needs and your budget.
Knife and Spray

These will serve as your protection especially if you are in the forest. Wild animals may attack you anytime and you can use bear spray or pepper spray in case of emergency. Plus, you should also bring your knife as it has lots of purposes aside from being your protection against intruders and wild animals.
Camera

I would never forget to bring my camera. I love taking pictures so I should have it in my list. It is also a great way to capture each moment that I have.
Lastly, when camping, make sure that you will bring all the things that matters to you. You should plan ahead of time before camping so that you won’t miss a thing. Planning plays an important role in making your camping trip a success and a memorable one.
