Lancelot “Capability” Brown
Lancelot was a British architect. He is also called as capability because of his talent to improve things, particularly when it comes to landscape. He has designed a total of 170 new parks in Britain. He wants to copy nature in his design. He discovers the trees can be made into soft, and curve lines. But lots of people have criticized him because he destroys some of the English gardens and improves them according to his design. He is known to be the England’s greatest gardener.
André Le Nôtre
He is a French architect who is born in Paris. He plays important roles in the making of Baroque gardens in Europe. Most of his career is spent in serving the royal families. He makes the the Gardens of Versailles which he dedicates to King Louis XIV.
Frederick Law Olmsted
He is known to be the father of American Landscape architecture. He is born Hartford, Connecticut. Most of the famous parks in America is designed by him. He made the Central Park and Prospect Park in New York.
Peter Josef Lenné
He makes the Prussian landscape architect. His work is mostly for palace and castle gardens. Some of his works are the Sanssouci, park Babelsberg, the Tiergarten in Berlin and a lot more. Usually he uses trees and shrubs for his landscape design.
She is known to be the best designer of all time. Most of the beautiful gardens in UK, Europe, and US are made by her. She was born in London. Even when she was still a child, she already falls in love with gardening. Because of that she studies botany.
Roberto Burle Marx
He was a Brazilian architect. His parents influence him to love gardens. When it comes to Brazilian botany, he is an expert. He wants his work to be perfect. Copacabana Beach promenade, Flamengo Park in Rio de Janeiro and Kuala Lumpur City Centre Park are only a few among many of his famous designs.
She is an American architect. Most probably, she is the most well-known architect in the 20th century. She makes impressive and controversial landscape and garden designs. She usually uses plastic and stones in most of her designs. She has a great foundation when it comes to fine arts and landscapes.
